So in College (95') I started the Anti Raisin and Walnut Collation...
Over the years many humans have joined this group... sometimes only for the raisons, many for the walnuts...
A few have protested us... in-vain of course.
So a few years back I was at IL Teatro at Capische, Wailea ... a Chef table by a student of Chef Thomas Kellers...
I mentioned I did not like Walnuts.. he added a course to our tasting.. it was pretty wonderful but I remember him saying it ti snot the type usually in the Stores in the US... sadly I don;t remember..
and I am okay with that.
Mostly talking about food....

It might have been black walnuts,we collect those ourselves around here. They taste extremely different from regular walnuts (although I very much like both, and raisins too).

One year, when I was in High School and he was in Middle School, my brother's new years' resolution was that he wouldn't eat anything I cooked. "You put raisins and tofu in everything" I believe was his specific complaint. I still like walnuts, but rarely eat raisins anymore, except in things.
